Get into Chess

Get into Chess

Children love playing chess. It is a great hobby that can be enjoyed with both friends and family. It also promotes a number of key skills. Players need to be focused, think logically, develop strategies and be creative. There is a reason why the game endures. It is a classic game in many senses of the word.

My aim is to get children in to chess by making it more accessible. I have developed a number of simple games to help them understand the pieces and how they move. Children as young as five can start learning simple versions of the game whilst also learning moves and strategies that will help them as they build towards playing a full game.

Whatever your child’s experiences with chess, I can help them get into this wonderful game.

I also offer help and advice to adults who want to play the game with their children but need some help learning the game themselves. Furthermore, I can also offer help and advice on how to approach a game even if you know the rules. There are certain strategies you can adopt that will help make games of chess at home more fun and engaging.
